Testimonials

We’ve engaged Shaun McNicholas on a range of significant projects since 2015, and have been delighted with his work. He facilitated our recent organisation-wide strategic planning process, developed a customised case note training program for clinical and administrative staff, and has provided writing skills training to more than 200 of our people. He is accommodating, insightful, and very easy to work with. His workshops are consistently rated as excellent by participants. I recommend him unreservedly.

The Victorian Women’s CPA Committee asked Shaun to facilitate a webinar on writing effective and ethical business cases. Shaun was easy to work with, helped us clarify our aims, and ensured we were getting the best out of the limited session time available. Almost 400 CPA members from across Australia attended. Their feedback – about both the presentation and the digital resources provided – was excellent. Shaun more than met our expectations, and promptly replied to post webinar questions from attendees.  I recommend him highly.

We’ve used Shaun regularly to design and deliver writing skills workshops as part of our certificate and diploma programs. We have also used him to support our senior staff improve their writing skills. His workshops are entertaining and effective. He inspires participants and builds their confidence, enabling them to become better writers. We highly recommend his workshops.

We engaged Shaun McNicholas to lead and manage the development of the Department’s On The Right Track website.  Shaun worked closely with our Aboriginal Road Safety and Driver Licensing team over several months, wrote much of the content for the website, and ensured the project was completed on time and within budget. The website is a key resource and engagement tool for Aboriginal people, communities and organisations across the state, including remote communities where English can be a second or third language, to better understand safety and licensing issues. It was critically important to us that simple, clear language was used and meanings were explicit. Shaun did this brilliantly. I recommend him highly.

Shaun is a skilled and structured facilitator with an excellent knowledge of the higher education sector (and a good sense of humour). We’ve brought him in to facilitate Executive planning sessions as well as broader team building days for Flinders International, and we’ve been very pleased with his work, particularly his ability to concretely and succinctly summarise and document the outcomes. Highly recommended.

Sebastian Raneskold, Vice-President & Pro Vice-Chancellor (International), Flinders University

Shaun has provided consulting services to UniSA across a variety of professional areas for almost 20 years. We’ve engaged him to contribute to very diverse projects, ranging from major organisation and unit reviews through to regular planning activities and people development initiatives. I recommend him highly.

Shaun helped us recently by running a series of large focus groups with academic and professional staff from across the University, and by facilitating an annual planning/team-building session for the Global Engagement team. Shaun is an excellent facilitator with a very good knowledge of the higher education sector, and particularly international education. I can recommend him in the highest terms and would be delighted to use his expert services again.
